While I was on the way to Soetta airport last morning, i thought about my new year’s resolution.. and a story.

Once upon a time, there’s an old farmer who has a dog sitting by the roadside waiting for vehicles to come around. As soon as one comes he will run down the road, barking and trying to overtake it. One day a next-doored neighbour asks the farmer what if the dog ever catches a car. The farmer replies.. “That isn’t what i bother. What bothers me is what he would do if he ever caught one..”

Many people in life behave like that dog, pursuing meaningless goals.

Are you one of them?

Hmp no

To me, new year’s resolutions are simply a goal we made for ourselves within a year.

The mind is self-aiming missile, it must have a target to work properly. A lack of meaningful goals will make you feel hollow.

Well, let me share you of how i usually set resolutions. 🙂

1. Identify what you want to obtain in this year. This seems easy till you write down on paper. Be specific as possible.

2. Use the present tense while writing your resolutions. This helps you picture them more vividly. Creative visualization is substancial part of the process.

3. Set a time frame for your resolutions. Deadline encourages you to stay on track. When you miss it, extend it and never give up.

4. Use your imagination to picture yourself having achieved your resolutions. Give your subconscious concrete images to steer you toward them.

Tips: Make sure the resolutions or goals are really yours, not what your relatives make you feel you should want.

Resolutions or goals are a way to get your mind in the right decision. Good luck. 😀
